These Terms explain the rules for earning, redeeming, and using Coins and the Spinner within the Habitual app. They outline how the features work, what you can expect from us, and the conditions that apply when you earn, redeem, or win rewards. We aim to make the Scheme fun, fair, and transparent, while ensuring you understand your rights and our responsibilities. Please read these Terms carefully, as they cover how Coins and rewards can be used, how prizes are awarded, and when changes may occur.

1. About Coins and Rewards

1.1 The Habitual Rewards Scheme (“Scheme”) is a promotional rewards mechanism operated by Habitual Healthcare Ltd (“Habitual”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 All registered Habitual users aged 18 or over who are legal residents of the United Kingdom automatically earn Habit Coins (“Coins”) through eligible in-app actions. Participation in redeeming Coins, using the Spinner (“Spinner”), or engaging with other reward features is optional.

1.3 By earning or redeeming Coins or using the Spinner, you agree to be bound by these Habit Coins & Rewards Terms (“Terms”).

2. Coins Definition

2.1 Coins are a promotional reward with no cash value.

2.2 Coins are issued at our discretion and may be redeemed only for eligible discounts on Habitual products or services.

2.3 Coins cannot be:

  • Exchanged for cash
  • Withdrawn as money
  • Sold, transferred, gifted or assigned
  • Used outside the Habitual app
  • Used at third-party merchants

2.4 Coins are not electronic money and are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This Scheme operates under the Limited Network Exemption in the Electronic Money Regulations 2011.

3. Earning Coins

3.1 Coins may be earned by completing eligible actions within the Habitual app, as described in the Rewards section of the app. 

3.2 Eligible actions may change from time to time.

3.3 We may place limits on the number of Coins that can be earned per day, week or month.

3.4 We reserve the right to withhold or cancel Coins if we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, gaming of the system, abuse of trials, duplicate accounts or any breach of our Terms.

4. Redeeming Coins

4.1 Coins may be redeemed against eligible Habitual purchases at the current redemption rate displayed in the app.

4.2 Coins cannot be redeemed for more than the total order value.

4.3 Coins may not be combined with certain offers, discounts or promotions.

4.4 Once Coins are redeemed, the transaction cannot be reversed.

5. Spinner Prize Draw

5.1 Certain app actions (for example, submitting a monthly check-in or completing daily tracking) may earn access to a Spinner. Other eligible actions may be added, removed, or updated from time to time. 

5.2 The Spinner awards prizes at random based on preset probabilities.

5.3 The current prize list is displayed in the ‘Habit Coin & Rewards FAQs’ in the app.

5.4 Prizes may include Coins or physical items. Physical prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted with an equivalent item or an equivalent value in Coins if necessary.

5.5 We may ask for identity verification before issuing prizes to ensure fair play and prevent fraud.

6. Free Entry Route

6.1 Where a spin or prize opportunity could be linked to a purchase, a free method of entry will always be made available to comply with UK prize promotion rules.

7. Changes to Coins or Spinner

7.1 We may update, suspend or discontinue the scheme (including earn rates, redemption value, and Spinner prizes).

7.2 If we make a material change that reduces the value of existing Coins, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice in-app or by email. 

7.3 Changes will always be made reasonably and in good faith and will not remove Coins already fairly earned without valid reason (for example, fraud).

8. Expiry, Account Closure and Forfeiture

8.1 Coins do not expire and will remain available in your account unless forfeited in accordance with these Terms.

8.2 If you cancel your Habitual subscription or take a break, your Coins will remain available in your account and can still be used when you return.

8.3 If you request permanent account deletion under applicable data protection laws, your Coins will be forfeited and cannot be recovered because your account and transaction history will be erased.

8.4 We may remove or withhold Coins if they were earned through fraud, misuse, abuse of the scheme, or breach of these Terms. This includes creating multiple accounts, exploiting technical bugs, or manipulating promotions.

9. Errors or Adjustments

9.1 We reserve the right to correct Coin balances affected by system errors or technical malfunctions.

9.2 If a Spinner result or Coin award is affected by error, we may re-run the spin, cancel Coins, or issue a reasonable replacement.

10. Liability

10.1 Coins are a promotional benefit and not contractual consideration.

10.2 Our total liability arising from the Scheme is limited to the nominal discount value of the Coins or prize in question.

11. Data Protection

11.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy to manage Coin balances, prize fulfilment and fraud prevention.

11.2 We will request separate consent before using winner details for publicity.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Coins & Rewards Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
