All requests for a prescription medication plan with Habitual are individually assessed by a licensed prescriber for suitability, which is why we'll first ask you to complete a thorough online assessment, followed by ID verification and a full body photo, before a prescription is written. If your consultation is approved, you may be prescribed Wegovy, which contains semaglutide, or Mounjaro which contains tirzepatide. Both are compounds that are licensed for the treatment of obesity.
At present, all patients on a Habitual medication plan will start on the minimum dosage, reflecting the guidance by the medication manufacturer as well as the British National Formulary (BNF). As patient safety is our top priority, we are not able to offer prescriptions of higher dosages, without the proper dose escalation period.
Before your second payment, you'll receive a link to an online assessment to check how you're getting on and whether you'd like to increase your dose. It's entirely up to you - we will never increase your dose without your permission. The following month, you'll be asked if you'd like to increase again.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer variations to this schedule at this time, even if you've previously been prescribed a semaglutide medication.
The typical pathway for these medication treatments is to increase dosage once per month until you reach the maximum treatment dose, however we only increase the strength of your medication if you want to. You’ll receive an email 3 days before each payment with a link to fill out an online form which will ask if you’d like to increase the dose. As every patient will react differently to the medication, we want to ensure you're comfortable and safe to increase your dose.
At present, we are only able to offer the minimum starting dose, with monthly dose escalations thereafter. We follow guidelines by the medication manufacturer and regulatory body in the UK, which are clear that all patients should start on the minimum dosage.
The injection is virtually painless and is self-administered into the fat under the skin at the abdomen, the front of the thigh, or upper arm. We know administering an injection might be new to you, but don't worry, step-by-step instructions on how to use the pen are included within the medication box.
The first thing we'll ask you to do is to download the Habitual app and complete a quick identity verification using a government-issued photo ID. We take this extra precaution to ensure that the medications our pharmacy prescribes are going to the same person whose information they are looking at. We’ll also ask you to upload a full body photo as part of our eligibility and safety assessment. Then, we'll securely send your details through to our pharmacy, where a prescriber will have one final look to make sure everything looks good. Lastly, they'll write your prescription and ship the medication next-day delivery to you.
Semaglutide can induce a sense of fullness and decrease your appetite, resulting in reduced calorie intake. Studies have demonstrated that the medication can lead to a 15% reduction in body weight over one year when combined with behavioural lifestyle changes.[1] Many of our members have reported experiencing decreased 'food chatter,' increased energy levels, steady weight loss, and other health benefits, particularly while adhering to a healthy diet.

It’s the Habitual app that sets you up for a healthier, happier life. Whilst your prescription medication will help you achieve safe weight loss, it’s the content, lessons, and exercises in the app that will help you keep the weight off for good. The Habitual medication plan is a tool to help you build a sustainable, healthy life. We (and the research) find that weight regain is much more likely for those who do not engage in expert behaviour change, so taking full advantage of what our app has to offer is important for long-term health and weight maintenance.
Rest assured, your data is secure with us! Your app login is tied to your email address, ensuring that only individuals with access to your email can log into your account. Our backend systems are protected to safeguard your data, allowing only you to access it. We even employ encryption for your journal entries, ensuring that only you can access and read them.
The Habitual app accompanies you on your health journey. By integrating the app into your daily routine, you'll acquire the skills to break old habits, cultivate new ones, and practise the behaviours that will keep you healthy for life. Our app is designed to facilitate your success, with features that have been proven to guide you on the path to your health goals. From habit tracking and daily lessons on behaviour change to regular journaling, direct access to our Patient Care team, tangible rewards to celebrate your achievements, and weekly progress reports—you'll have all the necessary tools at your fingertips every day.
We’ve designed our app to be as easy and as efficient as possible—we want the app to accompany you on your journey, not take it over. You'll be encouraged to track your habits daily, a task that only takes a few minutes. Each day unlocks a new lesson—some days feature exercises, while others offer breaks. The time you invest in the exercises is entirely up to you; what matters most is that you complete them to the best of your ability. During busier days and weeks, you can save all the lessons and exercises to tackle in one go, although we do recommend trying to keep up with the program on a weekly basis at the very least. Allocating 10-15 minutes each day should be more than sufficient to make the most of the app effectively and consistently.
To be eligible patients must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of at least 30 or have a weight-related health condition alongside a BMI of at least 27. In addition, we ask for a full medical history to check for any exclusion criteria that would make it unsafe for you to start treatment with semaglutide, and a licensed prescriber reviews each and every case before writing a prescription. Please take our eligibility assessment here to find out whether you’re eligible.
During our online medical assessment we will ask for information about any medication you are currently taking. We also communicate. If you are not on these medications, we still recommend that you see your GP for completeness—though in most cases they won’t be altering your other medications.
Medical onboarding can happen in a matter of minutes—we’ll simply ask you to complete a medical history and we’ll have a quick look to make 100% sure you’re safe to go.
Yes, it's important to clarify that we are not a GP service, so your GP will continue to be your primary care provider while you're enrolled in the Habitual program. We strongly advise scheduling an appointment with your GP before commencing the program. Depending on your specific medical conditions, they may recommend more frequent check-ins as you progress through Habitual. Habitual is designed to complement your existing healthcare rather than replace it and we will partner with your doctor where necessary to ensure your safety throughout the plan.
Our medication plans start from £229 per month depending on your medication preference, which includes your prescription, medication, a sharps bin (if you've purchased an injectable medication), access to our custom-built behaviour change app, and group support via WhatsApp.
Your monthly payment includes your prescription, access to our app (including expert-developed behaviour change lessons and exercises), ongoing support from our Patient Care team, and access to a bespoke cohort of peers who are all on the same journey as you.
The higher strengths are more expensive. You will be given the option to choose whether you’d like to increase onto a more expensive dose, and the exact cost confirmed, once you have reached that period in your dose titration.
Payments are scheduled every 4 weeks (28 days), however you can bring forward/delay your next payment if you need to. See the 'How do I change my next payment date' section below for how to do this.
Your subscription renews automatically once every four weeks, so if you’d like to stop the treatment please cancel your subscription.
You may cancel your subscription anytime through the Habitual app. Simply navigate to the Profile section of the app (click the grey person icon in the top left corner of the screen) and click on 'Manage my payment'. You will then see the option to 'Cancel my payment and plan'.
If you do cancel but later decide to continue, we would recommend getting in touch before you run out of treatment, as, if there's a significant gap in between treatment, our pharmacy may not be able to escalate your dosage.
To change your payment date, navigate to the Profile section of the app where you will find the option to 'Manage my payment'. You will then see the option to 'Edit payment date'.
You will be able to select a new date up to 1 week sooner or 4 weeks later than your current payment date. If you need to change it to a date outside of this range, please reach out to us via the Care Team tab of the Habitual app.
Please note, the upper limit to extending your payment date is 8 weeks. Any further would require cancellation of your subscription.
Yes! We would suggest moving your payment date to at least 3 working days before you are due to leave. This will allow time for processing your prescription and receiving delivery. You can bring forward your next payment date by following the instructions above.
You can track your first order with us through the Habitual app. After completing the identity verification process, simply navigate to the 'Getting ready checklist' and tap 'Track my prescription.' This feature provides you with real-time updates on the status of your order. You can monitor when your assessment has been reviewed, your prescription has been written, and when your medication has been shipped, ensuring you stay informed every step of the way.
Once your medication has been shipped, you will receive a Royal Mail tracking number, which you can enter here to view real-time updates on your delivery.
